On Sunday 3rd March, 49 explorers took part in ELS first interactive First Response Course at Bowley. The day was split into whole group sessions mixed with small group tasks across 8 bases where the explorers had the opportunity to apply their learning in practical contexts.
As one explorer Dom Duxbury said
“The day was engaging and informative and helped me gain my EA4 badge. I learned new things and applied new skills that will be beneficial to my scouting journey and in wider life”.
Other comments included “I have done first response before but this way made it much easier to take in the information and I feel much more confident now” and “I’ve really learned a lot today”.
The explorers were supported by a marvellous team of 15 adult volunteers.
