Scout Active Support is for anyone over the age of 18 years. It is a way for adults to volunteer time to Scouting in a flexible way that suits them. East Lancashire is now served by a range of Active Support Units who provide valuable back up, advice and practical support at all levels of Scouting around the County. You can learn about each of these units below.
County SAS Manager
John manages our Scout Active Support provision across East Lancashire.
This unit is lead by Robyn and is there to provide catering support for County events.
The Circus Skills Active Support Unit is lead by Bill Ruddock and provides circus skills demonstrations at events around the Country as well as in Groups and Districts in East Lancashire.
The Entertainment Active Support Unit is lead by Andrew Holford and provides assistance with shows and other entertainment at events around the County.
The Communications Active Support Unit is lead by Chris Taylor and is responsible for developing, acting on a reviewing the County’s Communications plan and strategy. This includes covering County events and proving support the Districts, Groups and sections with their media/PR needs.
