25th November 2017 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Bowley Scout Campsite, Dean Lane, Great Harwood, BB6 7UN Due to popular demand, we are holding an “Introduction to Hill Walking” day on Saturday 25th November 2017. The course will be in two halves consist of basic map and compass reading, route planning, weather and Scout requirements etc in the morning and a short walk in the afternoon to put the skills into practice. The course will be held at Bowley on 25 Nov 17 starting at 0900 with a maximum of 18 people. The course will concentrate on T0 (under 500m) so no permit is required – it’s all about giving you, as Leaders, the confidence to go out walking and understand what you need to do.
