Module 1 – Essential Information

This module’s aim is to provide all adults in Scouting with the essential information needed to get started in their role.

We’ll cover;

  • The fundamentals of Scouting
  • Structure and Support
  • Safety in Scouting
  • Safeguarding: Child Protection
  • Safeguarding: Ant-bullying

Module 3 – Tools for the Role (Section Leaders)

The aim of this module is to provide you with the basic information on your role or area of responsibility and some practical help to get you started in the role.

We’ll cover:

  • Features of the section
  • Roles within the section
  • Using activities and games
  • Youth shaped Scouting
  • Promoting positive behaviour

Module 5 – The Fundamentals of Scouting

The aim of this module is to explore the Fundamentals of Scouting and the Religious Policy; and consider your relationship with the quality programme that we deliver to young people.

We’ll cover;

  • The Fundamentals – the Purpose, Values and Method
  • The Religious Policy
  • Spiritual development

Module 6 – Changes in Scouting

The aim of this module is to provide an overview of the Movement’s history focusing on its development to meet the changing needs of society.

We’ll cover;

  • Brief outline history of Scouting
