The East Lancashire Scouts Training Team is here to support and motivate you to gain the skills necessary for your role in Scouting, whether you’re a section leader, supporter or manager.

Please note: booking onto training courses is vital. To book, please drop the County Training Manager, Ian Macdonald, an email via training@eastlancashirescouts.org.uk

East Lancashire Scouts have a Local Training Manager in every district. Their role is to help and support you through your training, give advice on the training courses available, explain to you The Scout Association’s National Training Scheme and help you gain the necessary skills for your role in Scouting. They are supported by The County Training Manager and the County Training Administrator who provide further advice and support as required.

The Local Training Managers should be your first port of call for any training issues you may have. We have listed all of their contact details below for you.

We also recommend you download the Training Module Matrix for more information (see Training Downloads in the top right hand corner). You will also find more information on The National Scout Website.

Your Local Training Managers are:

Blackburn – Janet Alderson-Perkins (blackburnltm@eastlancashirescouts.org.uk)
Burnley and Pendle – via County Training Manager, Ian Macdonald (burnleyandpendleltm@eastlancashirescouts.org.uk)

It’s not our training that matters, it’s your learning that counts

Timely Support

We know that you just want to get on having an adventure, so we try to make sure that we support you with your training as quick as we can!

Innovative Ideas

Our trainers regularly undertake training themselves to make sure we can giving you the best experience possible.

E-Learning

Not every training module requires you to be face-to-face with a trainer, we have some modules that you can do online at your leisure. Contact your Local Training Manger for more information.

Sharing Ideas

There lots of great examples around the County of fantastic programme ideas and ways to make your Scouting easier – we encourage all adult volunteers to talk to other leaders too!

We support lots of adults in East Lancashire
