Explorer Scouts
Explorer contacts around the county.
In 2003 2 Explorer Scouts from Blackburn North Unit succesfully completed their Explorer Belt in New Zealand. You too can take part in this expereince of a lifetime.
Explorer Scouts are young people, usually aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family. There are many types of Explorer Scout Units, some may be linked to your local Scout Group, others may be based around different activities.
Teams from Blackburn and Burnley fought for the right to take the Bowley Bucket back to their Unit. This years event started at Edisford Bridge in Clitheroe. Teams set off for their overnight stop whilst being hunted by the Leader team, those caught losing points each time they were caught.
