County Annual General Meeting

Over 100 members of the County enjoyed the barbeque at the conclusion of business at the AGM including a large number of Guests and Mayors from across the County. It was particularly pleasing to see an increased number of young people taking an interest in decission making within the County. Several new appointments were made during the business section of the meeting including John Goffee who has accepted the nomination of County Chairman. John Lloyd is taking the Deputy County Chairman role and Roger Flitcroft was nominated as Vice President and Chair of the County Appointments Advisory Committee. Chris Creelman was also nominated as a Vice President of the County. The County Exec members were elected and nominated as follows, nominated were Mick Grime, Tracy Shaw, Elizabeth Watts, Ken Jackson, Stuart Parker and Roger Flitcroft. Elected were Howard Alderson-Perkins, Ken Smith, Fil Ruddock and Ian Macdonald. 18-25 elected members were Callum Woods and Alaina Norris. Explorer Scouts attending the Exec will be Andrew Langhorn and Mary Peel. Rachel Ruddock and Ian Macdonald were elected to represent East Lancashire on the Council of the Scout Association.
