Presentation Evening

The County is planning the next Awards Night.

This was to take place at Bowley on Sunday 7th March 2010 at 4pm and 7.30pm.

Now we have a time, date and place, it is time to submit the young people who have attained awards to County Office..!  This is Chief Scout Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Queen Scout, Explorer belt, Young Leader Belt and any D of E.

The form required for the submissions, which should be completed in each case and sent in to County Office, is available to download below.  The closing date for the submissions will be 31st JANUARY 2010.

Please consider this now, as last year it was clear we had missed many young people who could have made the presentation and were never offered the chance to attend.  I am sure we know many young people who should be allowed this opportunity...!

Hopefully there will be a meal served at the presentation night which will need arranging and costing depending on the number of people attending.  The Award recipients will not be charged, but those attending with them will.  This cost will be decided once we have numbers available but it will be kept to a minimum.

Also we will be asking those who are attending if they would like to present some of their achievements on the night.  Please consider this with your young people when submitting the forms and let us know if they are willing to do this by making a note on the submission.  PowerPoint, video etc will be available ... also an offer of creating a video piece from all of them has been made, so some photos of their experiences will be useful.  I can collate these once I know who we have on the list, but again pre warn them, it will make chasing things easier and make the night very special if they see themselves on the big screen...!

Looking forward to your responses, any questions then please get in touch with Joanne Carey.
