Sailing is an activity which can fulfil many parts of the progressive training scheme. It requires a combination of technical skill, physical fitness and teamwork. Sailing boats come in many forms and which ones you use will probably depend on which ones you have access to. The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the national governing body for sailing, they provide a number of training schemes for dinghies, Keel Boats and yachts, and a selection of useful publications. Use the links below to access information on local sailing clubs who may be able to offer facilities for your Group.
